In today's fast-paced world, it’s tempting to rely on processed foods and take-out meals for convenience. Pressure and stress cause us to push eating to the sidelines, and as a result, we devote as little time to it as possible. As a result, we seem to be losing the sense of ritual that should accompany preparing a meal, as well as the sense of presence and intimacy that eating it should entail. We sacrifice taste to modernity.
LYOFOOD is an outdoor company that produces convenient food for inconvenient times. Our meals are easy to prepare and can be eaten far away from home.
At the same time, being food lovers ourselves, we couldn't agree on artificial and bland taste, so we found a compromise between getting what is necessary and celebrating what is important.
Real cooking
We celebrate nature not only when we spend time outdoors, but also by offering products that taste like it.
Our potatoes taste like potatoes, vegetables have their natural color and their own variety of flavors, and if we add some meat, it is marinated and cooked together with all the other ingredients. Our secret is not really a secret. We simply cook our meals the old way, but using modern technology.
The origins of our recipes
Our recipes come from different people and are the result of different needs and adventures, but the idea for each product is usually born in the most obvious way.
We devote as much time and space to the entire development process as necessary. Once the general concept is ready, we cook several different versions of the meal and adjust the freeze-drying technology to preserve them so they don't lose any of their nutrients and vitamins, nor their color, texture or flavor.
Working with ambassadors
Many years ago, we came up with the idea of a food product that expresses the elusive spirit of the outdoors that we value so much.
The Let's Cook Something Up Together project resulted in a unique menu of meals composed and cooked together with our brand ambassadors. Each meal reflects the athlete's personality and food preferences, but that's not all. The meal and recipe are jointly owned by both LYOFOOD and the athlete, who receives royalties for each bag sold. This menu is as much about individuality and cooperation as it is about fairness and solidarity.
