Climbing

Luka Lindič

A versatile climber who is said to have been born with experience. His motivation to venture into the mountains stems purely from passion and enjoyment, nothing else. And once there, he prefers to focus on living the moment rather than documenting it. For him, pursuing a goal in climbing is always a valuable life lesson.

How would you describe your relationship with nature?

Nature has always seemed to me like a good friend that you can visit anytime to talk and clear your head.

If Mother Nature could talk, what do you think she would tell us humans?

I am tired of you.

Which expedition experience has shaped you most as a person?

Kyzyl Asker in China. I transitioned from a student lifestyle to a more serious one by committing to a business project in just a few months.

What basic qualities should your expedition partner have?

In addition to the climbing skills that are needed for a specific climb, I always look for someone who has similar risk management skills and with whom I can enjoy spending time and talking.

Which LYO product can’t you imagine going on an expedition without?

I don't have a favorite one. I like the variety.

If you were not a mountain athlete, who would you be?

Probably an architect.

Why alpinism then?

The feelings were stronger.
